Hi Mike Vax, Getzen Co., and friends.

My niece and nephew are beginning with wind instruments, flute and trumpet respectively, for Lauren and Jacob.

This exercise shall be the first thing I show them. For sure it will to help them to develop as musicians, and more.

With joie de vivre (and in the spirit of non-caffienated cross-training) allow me to point out that this breath-building exercise is quite similar to what is done in a Pilates class, as well as to a form of meditative Taoist breathing.

No wonder I always felt so good after 2nd period rehersals back in high school!

While my first fave was an Olds Ambassador from auction, it got traded, plus some loose change!, for a Bach 37 ML. Now I am eyeing your beautiful cornet with the rose crook and bell. Stunnng, and likely the perfect complement to my old silver Strad.

Best to you - JL, Boston MA
