My 1970's vintage 895s flugel and I have been together for thirty years. The valves are still fantastic.

I have played Getzen trumpets since 1970. My first was a Capri 590S (1970), followed by an Eterna 700S (1996). I am now the proud owner of a 900 Eterna Classic (2003). Getzen valves are, and have always been, the envy of the industry. Congratulations Getzen!

I live in Brazil.
I play Getzen trumpets, cornet and piccolo & flueghel for over 20years. Great sound, ease of playing, super smooth valves, great projection and beautiful timbre.

Thanks for putting this up. I have played my Getzen Custom Bass for going on four years now and have yet to have any complaints with it. I suggest Getzen to all my friends and trombone enthusiasts. It is great to see a company that is still going strong for 70 years and here in the good ole' USA. Here is to another 70 years of great Getzen craftsmanship.

Thanks for sending that Anniversary Jan 2009 issue.
Over the years...I have heard so many of my peers that Getzen instruments and especially the valve clusters are the ENVY of the industry.
A few months ago...I had the pleasure to use a borrowed student model Getzen cornet for a memorial.
I had a very hard time giving back that beautiful little cornet that not only felt so friendly and played so sweetly.
