Bone-afide Joins Getzen Team
We are extremely excited to officially announce our partnership with one of the best, young trombone quartets around… Bone-afide.
Bone-afide is an emerging chamber ensemble made up of some of the UK’s leading young trombonists. As a proud group of friends, the group strives to showcase the versatility of the Trombone, performing works from all genres and periods with the aim of defying stereotypes surrounding the instrument.
In the short time they have been together, the quartet has won the International Trombone Association Quartet Competition, the prestigious Tunnell Trust Award, and the Royal Philharmonic Society Philip Jones Prize.
The sky is the limit for these young musicians and we at Getzen are very excited to be along for the ride.
Isobel Daws, Merin Rhyd, and Rob Moseley all play Getzen 4147IB Custom Reserve tenors and Angus Butt is on an Edwards Instrument Co. B502 bass.
